Enrollment

How do I enroll for the first time?

This depends upon the plan that you are in. For specifics for your plan, please refer to the web site/VRU informational brochure prepared by DRS. Please contact your HR Department if you need another copy of the brochure. In addition, you can email DRS at the email address below. Please be certain to include your name and the name of your plan in your email.

How do I change the amount I am contributing to the plan?

If your plan has on-line enrollment, you can change your deferral election, i.e. the percentage deducted from each paycheck and deposited to the plan, by using the on-line Enrollment/Change Request form. This form is available under the Enrollment section of the Documents page. When you fill in this form, please be certain that you click the "Submit Enrollment" button at the bottom of the form to send the data you have changed back to our system.

If your plan has does not have on-line enrollment, you will need to submit a hard copy Enrollment Change Application to the HR Department at your company. This hard copy form is available in the Enrollment Change Packet under the Enrollment section of the Documents page. You can also obtain a copy of the Enrollment Change Packet from your HR Department.

When you fill in this form, please be certain that you click the "Submit Enrollment" button at the bottom of the form to send the data you have changed back to our system.

What is the difference between changing my future investment election and placing an exchange?
Your future investment election determines how contributions are split into the different investment options when they are deposited. Placing an exchange moves assets already invested in your account from one investment option to another. Please note, these two items do not affect each other. In other words:

  • Changing your future investment election will not move any asset you already have in your account.
  • Placing an Exchange will not change the way your contributions are being deposited.
